2001 f-250 4x4 code
I did a search and couldnt find anymore info than what I already had. This is the second time the 4wd has decided to quit on me. First time was a fuse. But now when turning the ESOF switch the transfer case does not engage. I put a scanner on the truck and came up with the code P1876: Transfer case 2wd solenoid circuit open or short to ground. After looking at the wiring diagram, I can't find the 2wd solenoid. Only mention of it is on the GEM module and thats one wire coming into the module that is labeled 4X2 SOL , that wire comes from the Vacuum solenoid. Does anyone have idea on how to fix this code, or where to look to figure it out. I tried clearing the codes but it comes back on instantly when it restarts. Any help would be appreciated!!! THANKS!
