robert, get an old truck or bronco for the wife....then you have to find a donor for parts for her truck/bronco. believe it or not, i know a guy who does this very thing
That would work if she drove. I got the VW specifically for her to drive, automatic, small car. Perfect for her to learn to drive in the states... then we get stationed in San Diego where she refused to even try to learn... cant blame her, the traffic there is horrid.
And I drive the VW when old blue is too tired. (i.e. needing some sort of repair)
She (wife) is from Spain, where public transport is good enough to not need to drive. (At least when she left there to live here with me, now they are getting just as car crazy as us).
if we lived closer, i have a 81 hood...it would require a lot of paint sanding, but it is in good shape. she has a few good parts that i havent been able to give away. i need the windshield and a few odds and ends....then, the rest is in pretty bad shape
