Big project in the making need help!
Well guys I think I may have a new Ford to have fun with...
NEW TOY: White, regular cab long bed, 1995, F-250, I-6, C6 auto tranny, 2wd (no bed on truck)
OLD TOY: 1988, I-6, 4x4, 5 spd ZF-542 regular cab long bed (box, cab, and door all damaged from a side swipe accident)
Extra BED: I have a extra white bed long box (rust free)
What I want to end up with...
4x4, ZF 5spd, 300 I-6, with AC, (trying to maximize appearance obviously)
I am wondering the capatability of the frames and whether my 4x4 drive line (front and rear axle, motor, tranny and tranny mounts) with just bolt on to the 1995? What kind of wiring problems will I run into? Can this be a simple swap, bolt on bolt off process? What are your suggestions?
I am indiffernt as to whether i keep the 95 or 88 body style.
I could just swap the cab, AC, and extra bed to my 88 but not sure if I want the new cab on my truck because they tend to rust out on the bottom... my old 88 has the open edges on the bottom and doesn't seem to be rusting b/c of that...
let me know any thoughts and opinions...

I believe that pretty much everything that you need is there between the two vehicles. If the frame and driveline are in good shape in the 88, I would think that swapping the body parts over would be easier than converting the 2wd.
Just an uneducated opinion though.
