Cold engine rattle
Hello all. Does anyone else have a cold noise rattle upon start up? My exp 5.4 has 73k and makes this type of noise upon start up. I'm new to these beasts is this common? It seems to go away after running awhile. TIA

Cold engine rattle
Check the PCV. Mine was rattling like crazy. I changed it to a purolator and it quieted it down quite a bit. The PCV is located on the passenger side valve cover, towards the rear of the engine. Try putting your finger on it when it is making the noise, and see if it quiets down.
