That being said, I promise that the holes won't line up, so you will have to drill new ones. You may also have to add risers to the frame tracks to clear the hump, I'm not sure.
Are you wanting to change due to comfort of the seats?
Well, the guy who owned the truck before me was rather hefty and the seat is broke. Very broke. SO, I found this seat in the junkyard and it was pretty darn comfy. So, I guess to answer your question yes. THe seat was pretty uncomfortable.
well I have done a chevy to ford seat conversion... NOT worth it! I would recommend looking around and finding Ford's captain chairs with the lumbar air bags and center console... they are pretty comfortable and will fit your application 87-96 F-150's (and 97 F-250's) should all fit... I had to add spacers to get over that hump, drill new holes, and the seat never sat in the right place... could be different with the dodge seat though. It's up to you but you'll probably save yourself some time and head aches by getting a ford bench or buckets or captain seats.
I also have found that if the local yard has a truck that has been t-boned or the doors wont' open... they will give you a great deal on interior parts. I found a truck with both doors pined shut and asked "how much for the seat" he said $35 if you can get it out... used a log chain and my truck to pull the doors open... look on that guys face when i pulled up with the seat was priceless!
Go back to the junkyard and find a good bench out of a ford pickup. When theyre not shot from fat people, these benches are actually really comfy. any bench from 80-96/7 will work in your truck
Well, I really don't have the money right now to get another seat from the junkyard. I'm a student so money is tight. I'm gonna save up money and in the time it takes to save 40 bucks I'm gonna try to fit the dodge seat. If I cant get it in by the time I get $40, I'll just go find a For seat.
Sell your POS dodge seat and get the correct seat to bolt in
Yep, I bolted in a rear seat from a 94 F350 CC into my 66 F250, the rail width was the exact same almost 30yrs later, I would say save you cash and time and get a Ford seat to bolt in. You have a lot of years to choose from.
another option.. why don't you order the kit from LMC and just rebuild your bench seat? Doesn't look to hard and I think it's like $30-40 bucks. Just a thought!
