okay cool that's exactly what i was thinking, well the process of it anyway. i came to that conclusion when after i did the rebuild,the carb worked a lot better. but the same problem kept happening where when i would step on the accelerator the engine would just die. when i checked the carb i would notice not only a strong smell of gas but i also would see a good amount of vapors. this lead me to think there was a flooding issue. so as of today i adjusted the accelerator rod to the other hole and now it seems better, i can actually rev the motor without it dying. but yet im still being cautious due to the fact i didnt drive test it yet because of the weather. i plan to test it tomorrow and will be sure to post the results. but honestly i would feel better just getting the little weight rod just because its meant to be there, i will try to find out the size of the venturis and contact you.
