What's up guys - I realize this gets asked from time to time, but I'd like to get some fresh opinions. I'm shipping a vehicle from Missouri to here in Texas next month, and need some advice on how to get started. The trip is about 900 miles, and the car is a '73 Galaxie (huge). What's the best way to do this? What are some things to avoid? What red flags should I be on the lookout for? If anyone has a service or company that they've used and would recommend, that'd be great as well. I'm open to any advice anyone has about getting this done. Thanks so much.
Lots of the dealers on eBay Motors use dieselgal.com for transport.
They have very high praise for her, timely, safe, good rates, and reliable.
I have no association to her, just forwarding info.
DAS has a bad name on many boards, so I would think twice before using them.
may not be what you want to do... but occasionally, if you search craigs list, there will be guys that are hauling an empty trailer from where your car is at, and maybe close to where you are at, so they will offer to let you have your car loaded onto their trailer, and you give them a little bit of cash...
(helps 2 guys out, and lessens the green house gasses... says the guy with the truck that was built before they knew what emitions where hahaha)
