Winshield Washer light

My Winshield washer fluid light comes on almost every time I drive my 2002 Expedition. Rarely ever to start with but a couple of miles down the road I hear the chime and then the light comes on.
My resevoir is full.
Any similar experiences?

Mine does it with about 1/2 tank remaining. I think it's possessed.

Mine also comes on when it's half empty. Is there any way to disconnect the sensor?

Most of you guys are lucky that it comes on when it is half empty. Mine will come on after 2 squirts! The tank holds right a a gallon. And I need to be told that it is low after 2 squirts?

I guess Ford put that in for all the soccer moms that drive.

I think I will have it taken in though and looked at as it appears that it is supposed to go off at the 1/2 way mark.

Mine came on after 2 squirts too. I will find a way to disable it.

Maybe there is hope. My wife just told me that our '03 Expedition washer light came on when the tank was down to about 1/3.

I use my washers alot and never had the light come on....<knock on wood>

MINE DOES IT TOO AFTER A COUPLE OF SQUIRTS, BUT IT GOES OFFIN A COUPLE OF DAYS.

NOTICED YOU HAVE A 97 EXPEDITION WITH A 5.4 ENG. DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE HP AND TORQUE RATING IS?
