I have been experiencing some problems with electrical components in my 94 f-150. The steering wheel has no power, no horn or cruise control. The shifter has a switch to control the overdrive, and mine keeps flashing off. Drove my truck this morning, everything was ok. Got back in this afternoon, speedometer and odometer are not working. I plan on checking all fuses in the morning but think it's gonna be worse than that. I appreciate any help I can get. Thanks.
Some of those issues could be due to a bad clockspring. That could be why none of the functions on the steering wheel work.
If the cruise control isn't working, check to see if it is plugged in under the hood. The connector is on the front of the brake master cylinder. There was a recall and that could explain that.
The speedometer and odometer not working could be from the vehicle speed sensor VSS located on top of the rear end or the PSOM could be bad.
When you say the odometer deosn't work, does it display the milage and not change or does it not display anything?
