And it's funny you should mention corvettes, I think if you took a C2 (63-67) bumper shape (they'd have to be custom, I'm talking the shape not just swapping a bumper but building new ones... corvette bumpers cost $1000s anyways...) that you could make a very neat looking ride. I probably won't go that way with this build, just one of those thoughts...
what those uptights on hamb don't get is some people build in the same way they do , with what they have available to them , which to me is as the tired saying goes , old school . but they do it with parts we can get now without having to dig up a relic that is going to cost more than we make ina year . yep that was fergusons me thinkz . he had a gallery as i looked at his and keiths cruz cab with regularity for some " inspiration ' even though neither are my cup of tea , on the now defunct 55 i had . i had thoughts in a day dream of a late 90's ,96 to the change in the body style again , stepside bed as i thought they could be altered to look pretty close and give a custom look . but then again i do think a little differently than some .................... i'm suprised the sammich guy's even looked as i was told my flatty powered 53 wasn't hamb material by many there .................. hmmm , yet a few of 'em had ford trucks too.
oh and as far as the dash hump , i'm no body man but i'd love to have the 56 dash hump in my 53 , and a matching one for the glove box on the passenger side , and the moulding / body line / hump that runs from the dash into the doors of the 56's as i like them . just don't like the front window of the 56 .
Yeah it didn't even last 6 hours, lol, made it up to 4 pages last I saw though.
I was surprised at how many HAMB members actually really liked the idea. Course quite a few seemed to hate it, course this is the HAMB and they'll seem to be annoyingly uptight about the fuzzy line that makes something HAMB worthy, lol
And I also was thought to be a chick on there by some guy. That sucked. I think it's cause of the spelling of my name, people see Stephen and Stephine is what clicks in their head or something...
Post the same question here: Hotrodders Bulletin Board They're not labeled traditional like the HAMB is, and their "rods" cover a grander scope of mods.
EDIT: You'll even see HAMB members on that board sharing their info on non-HAMB friendly stuff in non-HAMB friendly ways, lol.
The chick thing was probably the cute picture of Abby for your avitor,I kind of like her myself.
I've been on the Hamb before and thought just about anything goes on there, guess I was wrong, again lol. What exactly is thier criteria.
Thanks Bobby, your memory thing is working okay as they are the pictures I remember. I feel good knowing that the double hump and the box were together as I remembered, thanks again and I'll book mark the link for future reference.

No problem
Heck, I'm not even sure that they know what the criteria is over at the HAMB, but they sure can tell you when something doesn't fit. There is tons of great talent over there, its just a shame that it gets eclipsed by a bunch of mean spirited idiot mouth breathers. There is just way too many people over there that seem like they will go out of their way to be hurtful to others. If thats what "traditional" is all about then count me out.
Nice! Thanks for the info, it seems he came across the bed... going to take forever to track down the owner, lol
Yeah I have a picture of Abby Scuito in my avatar here, but just a picture of my truck at the HAMB cause no pictures in signatures.... and to think I'm a big blacksmith with a man beard.
