yeah no problem. actually I had a boot blow off my dad's 6.0 one day, and after three unsuccessful attempts to clean and tighten it back down (couldn't drive 10 feet without it blowing off again) I limped it back home about 3 miles. took a while to get to speed, but once up to speed there was no difference. was kinda sweating the no filter thing, but I was alone, getting dark, and soaked with sweat from screwing around with it, and took my chances. I've never had one blow off on my truck though. I thought I had blown a tire when it happened, since he had a nail in one tire, and I just plugged it. nothing worse than crawling on top of a hot motor on the side of the road, in 95 degree heat to boot.
Actually we have a buddy and member here that is actually running no IC on his 7.3L just ran a delete pipe around and runs fine , so thats no big deal . Just make sure nothing gets sucked into it.
Running pipes and no IC is different then no IC pipes, you still have all your boost and such, just higher EGT's. Not running anny pipes wont make boost, High EGT's poor driving conditions, but will be okay to run, wouldnt make it a habbit though
