I recently purchased an 04 Escape. I like it, its my daily driver and the gas mileage so far is far greater than what the heck I stepped out of.....sure its a Ram and its tuff and its tank is full....but NOT FOR LONG!! My ONLY complaint so far with the Escape is every mornning I open the doors, theres a ton of condensation on the inside of the vehicle...windows are fogged up. There is no odor of radiator fluid and the carpet is not damp...so what gives?
The dfrost will take care of the entire vehicle in 5mins. but I would still like to know what the heck could be the cause of this condensation. I think, and know there is very little insulation in the vehicle and this I feel could be the main cause. This comming summer I will strip out the interior and add sound proofing and insulation to the floor pan, hopefully this will help.Any help would greatly be appreciated, thank you!!
Just a guess but do you leave your climate control in the OFF or MAX A/C position? This would keep the vehicle from breathing and could trap moisture inside the car.
I appreciate the advice. Since I have been driving this everyday the condensation issue has gone away. I'm thinking that it was caused by the AC drain might have been plugged or partially blocked. It has, for the most part stopped. Thank you again for the advice and help. So far this has been a great vehicle.
