you might want to even talk to a transmission shop, sometimes they have some laying around and you have a transmission that is much more desireable so they might consider a trade.
That is a good idea. I wasn't exactly sure how valuable a big block c6 transmission was. They seemwill pretty commonshady on craigslist. And in the same regard I don't know how rare or pricey an automatic FE C6 transmission is going to be. What would the best way be to go about it? Just state the facts? I have a 460 C6 transmission and I am looking for an even swap for a 352 FE C6?

Thats about it. Depending on where you take it, they may swap you even up, or you may have to pay a few bucks. Shop around, explain what you have, and go from there.
The reason they are so common? Not to many stock from the factory trannys will hold together with a 700-800hp engine in front of them. Spend some time changing a few parts in them, rollers bearings and such, and they are nearly indestructible. Excellent transmissions, Id say right at the top of the pile when it comes to durability.
