E4OD gear slippering or surging. ??
I have a F350 91 diesel with a 2 years old rebuilt E4OD in verry good shape. New tranny radiator, tranny temperature gage, new TPS...
Since 1000 miles, I towed my 5th wheel from BC, Canada to Mexico.
All the sudden, my tranny started to have a weird behaviour on every gears.
For example, if I go up-hill locked on second gear at 2000 RPM, the tachy jump from 2000 RPM to 2400 RPM back and foward. Then it stop bouncing... and start again. But the shifting between 2000 and 2400 is solid.
I don't belive this is "gear hunting" because the RPM difference is not big enough.
-I stopped in a tranny garage to try to scan it, but for an unknown reason, there is no code reading...
-I changed the TPS again, and it does not helped...
Tomorrow, I will stop by an auto-electric place for trying to have a better scanning.
Are you guys have any idea what is going on with my E4OD?
Thanks.
Pierre, who desperately wants to make it to Mexico for the winter!!!
