Ill be getting a 98-01 ranger 4cyl with 5 speed manual sometime soon and wanted to know if any of you guys have used a chip or tuner? what it did for you power and mpg wise? and how much and where can I get it? thanks

I have a 99 4x2 supercab with the 2.5L 5speed and a Diablo two tune chip. I bought it to run E85 on one tune and better MPG on the other. Can't really say I notice a difference in MPG on tune one. When running E85 my power is better but cost of E85 now is not low enough to compensate for the drop in MPG.

So unless you want to race or run E85, I would say save your money..
