Introducing me and my Project

It's a 76 F 150 with a 390. Just bought it maybe a month ago and I'm in the process of figuring out the best way to rewire it. The idiot owner before me decided to repair the fire damaged taillights including melted plastic with duct tape. Man it's a mess in there.
This truck needs mostly cosmetic work, fits perfect with my skill level

I also am rebuilding a 76 F-150 with a 390.
Are you wanting to replace the whole wiring harness or just the rear section? If the whole wiring harness then there are a few vendors that sell replacement harnesses, or for sections there is always junk yards.
Right now, I'm planning on replacing the rear section. The owner before me tried to rewire the rear and he was obviously in over his head since his wiring caused an electrical fire in the taillight that he tried to repair the damage with duct tape and spray paint. Hopefully, he didn't start to mess with the front. If he did that's where the father-in-law comes in, he'll be able to tell me if the wiring was done right, since electrical work is not my strong point. If not, then I'll be replacing the whole wiring harness.
Fortunately the wiring on our old trucks is really basic, and if just the rear section is burnt up, replacements are available both aftermarket and boneyards. However, If the PO used "duct tape" I dunno what went wrong.. that stuff fixes everything
