some times my truck well not start it Turns over but wont start then i well try it again later and it starts. i know it gets fuel because i hear the pump and i checked the pressure. i have recently changed the ignition module and it did not help. the problem seems to be worse when it is cold or wet.
I hope when you changed the ignition module you replaced it with a black one as the gray one is wrong for your truck.
That said do you have spark when it does not start?
If no spark take a test light and probe the plug on the ignition coil with the key on. Do you have power on both small wires?
If only one, the plug may be giving you problems. If not, the plug the tach wire may be grounded or the coil may be open.
If you have power on both small wires on each side, crank the engine and see if the test light flashes on the tach side of the coil.
If no flash unplug the computer and see if the spark returns.
Let us know what you find at this point.
yes it is gray instead of black but the guy at napa said it does not mater if its a diferent manufacturer. the module was not the problem it still well only sometimes start im thinking it might be the eec, coil, or distributor

The guy at NAPA is dead wrong, you need a black ICM in that truck and it has nothing to do with the manufacturer of the module.
The Gray Module is for the older 1993 and before push start ignition system.
The Black Module is for the 1994 and newer CCD ignition systems.
Your truck is not even wired right for a gray module and you would have to also change the PCM Computer to use a Gray Module.
