Well, I guess it depends on the truck. I can't speak about other trucks, but if you've got a 7.3, then don't waste your money. I spend a lot of time in the 94 to 97 psd forums and the 99 to 03 psd forums. The edge is better than stock, but they don't hold a candle to a custom tuned chip like the sponsor of this forum. If you're looking for a tuner for a 7.3, I'd post up in one of those forums for some feedback.

In a nutshell, what a custom tuner can do is take into account a lot of variables like what modifications have you done to your truck, Do you have stock injectors, turbo, shift points on an automatic transmission. Do you plan any modifications in the future. What are your driving habits. With different tunes, you can pick what you need/want for the moment. I personally have swamps tunes in both trucks. There is a local guy that sells them, that's why I use them. There are several out there, and you will not hear me say anything bad about any of them. All of them are better than the edge. You will find folks on both 7.3 threads that have had the edge or bully dog and go with one of the others and their only regret is they wish they had switched sooner.

well, i was nieve, and ignorant....so here's yalls chance to say it " yall told me so" lol. so i had the Edge juice/attitude deal in my truck. i liked the performance it gave me ( as it was my first chip) then yesturday i killed my truck and left it completely dead. after unhooking the chip it started right up and havn't had any problems so obviously it was the chip. now i'm in the process of returning the edge and then going to put that money towards upgrading the transmission and ect. reckon i'll be listn'n to what yall say a whole lot better. thanks for all the input.

I was reading your thread about the oil leak you've got. Those are the guys that can give some great advice on your truck with mods, what chip, etc. You'll find me over there too!
