Am I all alone up here in Amarilo?
Closest town of equal size is Lubbock at 120 miles away. Not much chance I'll be going to any swap meets or club road trips near Houston Dallas or Austin.
No rc, you ain't alone up here on the Cap (that's short for Caprock for you low-landers)...just further up the pike. I'm in Lub-rock. Now see if you can help me get these guys off the stick and decide on when/where our summer run is going to take place. Read Texas Events thread in this forum. I suggested July (weekends after the 4th) and New Braunfels, but some one needs to wake krosati up so he'll make the decision for us. Maybe we can ride down there together. Stay tuned, this is shaping up to be a good forum.

Long and wide and never ending
This is new guy in town. Have had fords in my family blood since they made'em.
I recently bought a preowned 98 Explorer xlt. Love it! Unfortunately, the battery went dead and could not get the neg connector off without cutting a the terminal. First spot of bad luck. Anyone tell me about any other big Explorer problems for that year.
I bet I'm the furthest north Texan on the forum that lives in Texas. I'm about 7 miles south of the Oklahoma Panhandle in Perryton. It's flat here and on a clear night I can see Liberal, Kansas on the north horizon. I live on a farm in the country so at night it gets real dark and the coyotes howl. I've got too many projects going to detail and someday I'll pay up and put together a gallery. I'm planning to be at Amarillo Aug 2,3 for the Mustang show and will be bringing a 66 Mustang hardtop, a 65 Mustang fastback, a 66 F-100 Ranger and a 72 F-250 4x4, if I can find enough drivers. These vehicles are all restored or refurbished and some modified to fit my desires. Hope to see some of you there.
Hey REDNECKDIESELMECHANIC, I'mup in copperas cove. Have a 84 Bronco that is almost done. ( well drivable anyway) Give me a yell and we can hook up and down some suds.
Krosati, how is the truck project coming?
Trucks comming along. Although it's slower than I want it to. I just finished appling POR15 to the sandblasted frame and bolted om the Mustang II suspension. Man is that thing low! I have 14" tires and wheels for now and the 15" wheels I have in mind should raise it up a bit. Right now, I'm focusing on the rear suspension. Trying to decide if I need mono leafs or a 4 link setup. The cab floors are next.

The BIG one is September 19-22 at Rosanky, between Lockhart and Austin, near Bastrop. Over 100 cars on display (I'm reading from the flyer they handed me), vendors and swappers on 300 acres. http://www.ctmah.org
