Residual valves

Residual valves
The truck I am building has disc on the front and drum on the rear. And was told I need to ad Residual valves on the truck. I bought 2 lb for the front and 10 lb for the rear lines. But my question is. Are they to be place in line closer to the master cylinder or closer to the wheel cylinders. I am thinking it makes a diffrence on the inline placement. THANKS !
