1993 f150

So heres my new truck traded my 85 f150 for it. its got a 351w C6 b+m shifter,np208 TC, 7 inch lift. so now the problems the transfer case was bad so i took the 4 wheel drive shaft out (cause it has auto hubs) to save it for a bit. so i changed the TC and put the driveshaft back in and it still makes the same rattleing noise as before when im doing any speed over 30mph. when i take the shaft out its fine again i checked the u-joints there fine most of them new.. im stuck with this noise its annoying also i want to put 37's on this truck do you think if i did a SAS and put a dana 44 solid axle in the front and geared the truck to 410's it would hold up i dont beat on it but will do some slow wheeling Thanks

Sounds to me like a drive shaft problem. My '92 F350 uses a double Cardan joint similar to a constant velocity joint used on FWD vehicles. There is a fulcrum like plate with a bearing in it that went bad. Mine had a squeaking noise. Not sure if your F150 uses the same setup. But I would take a good look at your DS before going to all the trouble of a SAS.
