Lose Sheild
My truck makes a growling noise when first starting out. Its coming from the catalitic converter area under the seats.
I havent looked yet but I think it sounds like one of the sheilds come lose. How do I fix? I have heard about this noise on most trucks....what is the fix? 1998 F150 XLT 4x4
Has anybody else had this problem?

If indeed it is a loose shield just buy a hose clamp long enough to go around it where it fits on the converter and tighten the clamp. Should get rid of the noise, NAPA stores offer some that are about 30" long if you need one that long.
