Throwin 1119

Geetings ,
I had the turbo and pedistal off to replace exhaust rings and gut pedistal . Does anyone have an idea about what I may have missed hooking up. I have more than 5 ohms and diddn't have code until I did this .

Thanks ,
John

Check the connection on the sensor screwed into the spider. It's the one at the bottom next to the hose heading off the left side of this pic:

That's the connections for the wastegate solenoid & controller. I have a non-wastegated van turbo, so I got rid of the extra parts.

Well, it's not the wastegate that's the issue -- the van turbo has a much larger exhaust housing than stock. It reduces back pressure and EGTs drastically.

I know what it is -- are you just looking to move it to your new pump? You need to pull the connector off (obviously), and then a deep socket to get the nut off. I haven't taken mine off yet -- I have one sitting here to go on, but haven't gotten to it.

EDIT: And clean it real well. I'd probably use brake cleaner & some compressed air. You don't want ANYTHING in there, even little bits of lint from a shop towel or something can screw things up in there.

I was going to experiment with it when it gets cold. I had the romps when it wasn't very cold out a couple years ago with dino oil -- same stuff some guys run up north where it gets MUCH colder. Delo 400. I was wondering if the IPR was causing that or what. I was also about to put an Adrenaline in, but cancelled my order with Bob since mine was holding pressure quite well in stock, and even better with the hybrids I just put in.
