Anyone ever hurd of or have a tailer using vacumm operated brakes or info on them?

Never heard of them but sounds like a PIA to keep them working. Vacuum is a hard thing to maintain.

Been around for a while. Gooseneck, stock trailers. Some are vacuum over hydraulic. Tow has vacuum/hydraulic control supplied to trailer valve/ tank and supplies pressure to hydraulic brakes. Also provides brakes if trailer becomes disconnected from tow vehicle. Less cost than pressure over hydraulic system. Latest is electrical over hydraulic, which requires a trailer battery for emergency disconnect of trailer from tow vehicle. chuck
