There was an ad in the local paper for a 69 Ford, all orginial with original owner looking for best offer. Of course I went and looked at it excecting a heap that I could get cheap and steal a few parts off of that I wanted. To my surprise the truck was in very good condition. The guy got it from his mother and just hadn't done anything with it and was looking to get rid of it. He said it needs some engine work and maybe some minor body work. The body is pretty solid with some slight surface rust and maybe a few small dents, nothing major. The interior looks excellent. It has A/C and cruise control. The truck has a 360 and auto, which I assume is a C6. The truck is in such good shape, I couldn't see anything that wasn't orginial. It had the fan shroud, the wiper resevoir, all that good stuff. He wanted to get over $500 for it and I asked if he'd take an even $500 and he said yes. I didn't get to crank it due to a dead battery but I'm sure it would probably crank right up, maybe with a knock but who knows. I'm going to take a fresh battery back and see what it will do this week. I'm toying with the idea of buying it for the parts it has, but not for restoration. I'm not into the LWB F100's, maybe if it was 4x4 or something. But $500 seems like alot of money for a parts truck. I'm conflicted, what do you guys think?

Depends on how many parts it has that you need. Personally, I'm looking for...
1. Original 15" 5 x 5 1/2 x 7-8" steel rims
2. Spare tire hanger
3. Fan shroud
4. Etc.
What does it have for bumpers? Cruise control.... hmmmmmmm. Let me know, I'm in Boerne but will drive over to Nacogdoches if the deal's right.

I'm a lucky man. My girlfriend is very understanding and supportive of my Ford Truck addiction. She even tries to spot old trucks for me while we're driving and such. She's the best.
Well I got y'all topped......my mom found my truck and helped me get it. She also helped me get my studebaker truck. She's great....she'll listen to me talk cars and she actually has a clue as to what I'm talking about.
