speedo ? weird.....
hoping someone can answer this ? or shead some light on this.. I have 38" toyo's and have used the AE to recaliabrate the speedo to the 38's. it has never worked, the speedo has always read 10-12 mph slower than the GPS. (two of them). depending on speed, the faster i go the more it is off. today While i was driving about 30 mph i put it in neutral and shut the iggnition off and started the truck back up, (doing this to get a more accurate reading on the fuel gauge that has a mind of its own.. another topic) and the speedo starts to read exactly the same as my gps at any speed i went???? so i come to a complete stop at a light and take off down the road and it starts to read the normal 10-12 mph slow again, I repeat the process of killing the iggmition and restarting while coasting in N. put it back in drive and it reads excatly as my GPS does until i come to a complete stop again??? WTF?? this one has got me stumped. for the 30-40 min it was reading accuratly it was so nice to know actually how fast i am going without looking at the GPS all the time., Thanks

Have you tried looking at each abs sensor in AE? There are three of them, one in each wheel bearing and one in the rear. See what they read? They should all be the same. See if that matches your gps. I have seen the abs modual match the gps but the speedo is way off. Mostly due to guys installing a new fancy instrument cluster... and they get the needles off.
