Vinford, i have found quite a few Ranch Hand bumpers for SD's around here too. i don't look for anything other than ranch hand really anyways b/c thats what the majority of people get for these things around here.

nah, i need something i can fit my warn winch behind. its pretty big so i cant have something that sits so close to the truck. need something along the lines of this- Dodge Truck 2003 - 2004 Bumper Bumpers Winch Kit Ready:eBay Motors (item 110422834948 end time Dec-07-09 14:10:22 PST)

Well I bought that at a scrap metal yard 8 years ago.So i spent i think 75 bucks on it at the time.

I built one this summer to hold my Warn M12000. I looked at everything online and decided there was no way I could justify the money to buy one, plus they are too thin in my opinion. The design I liked best was made by an outfit called Bronco Air. BroncoAir Extreme Duty Winch Bumper : Extreme Duty Bronco Parts : Bumpers, Air Kits
I built mine out of 3/8" plate for the winch mount portion between the frame rails, and a mix of 1/4" and 3/16" plate for the wings. I also built a front reciever into it and a shackle mount insert for a hitch and recovery point. The most important part is the mounting scheme. I ran 4" channel up the inside of both frame rails back to the shackles and drilled holes for 5/8" bolts through the inside of the frame.
