Tire size

I know this has been asked about athousand times by people in this forum. But I have searched and searched the forum and can't find the answer any where. I have a 67 F100 body is stock from drum brakes to ride heigth. I have got 15x10 wheels for the back and want to know does anyone and I mean anyone know what the widest tire I can run on the back without and mod done to the rear end of the truck. I would really like some help on this one.

I have 275 60 15 on mine and have no problems at all but I think on 8" rims

I've got 295.50.15 all the way around on my 1969 with no issues. I've seen 285.45.16 on the rear of a 1965. Hope it helps.

275/60s, 255/70s. You can get 315/60s or 325/50s under there, but they like to rub. The backspacing on the rims makes a difference, too.
