What if you can't get the radio out,I have tried to get it out a half dozen time.A slide hammer hooked in the tape port was my next thought
i got mine out and replaced it with a aftermarket cd player. mine poped right out. it takes patiance but if you take 2 small flat screw drivers and stick the tip of one bout 1/3 of the way down on the rt side of the dash kit and beeing real ginger pry it out then with the other screw driver work the other side after the first side pops out. but a slide hammer will do the job just fine but the end result my not be good haha

Sometimes the wiring harness for the radio can become tangled and you wont have enough slack to remove the radio. To remedy this, you will need to remove the ashtray/ trash hook, and the whole cup thrower assembly, including mounting tray. There are two hidden screws in the top of the cup thrower mounting tray that can only be accessed from the hole where the ashtray/ trash hook was. After you have removed the mounting tray you should be able to get your hand up behind the radio to unplug the wiring harness, and disconnect the antennea RCA
If you do not have the radio removal tool, 4 small nails will work. just slide them into the 4 holes on the front of the radio until you feel clips release.
If all the above fails then slide hammer away my friend.
Ray slide hammer away!!! LOL Thats about how i did mine. After trying to use the "proper tool". I got one side undone. The other side the tabs apparently had got messed up and the tool wasnt touching them.
