I have a 2000 F-350 with 74,000 miles,I came home from work parked it in driveway and a few days later [today] it wont start. There is no wait to start light coming on and the service engine soon is on,is there a way to check the code without a scanner?I have a DP-tuner as well.
Check the fuse for the fuel heater ,If it s blown , you may need to unplug the heater , I think its #30 under the hood ..Not good having the CEL on too ...
Like Rick said, check fuse #30 in your truck. If it's blown, unplug the fuel bowl heater, replace the fuse, and the truck should start right up.
No WTS light means the PCM isn't getting the voltage needed to make the injectors and fuel delivery circuit work. The starter sill works fine so the engine will spin, but no start and no smoke out the tailpipe while cranking.
Ok I checked fuse 30 and it is ok.Maybe the DP-tuner is coming loose, but the display is lighting up fine.I will check that to just eliminate that ,anything else I need to check?
I also agree with the two previous posts!
I just finished experiencing a similar problem and at this moment there are others with a crank/no start conditions with their trucks.
Solutions to other similar fixes are crucial to helping others in solving these problems.
I also agree with you,but I feel the need to protect the good reputation of others untill I get a chance to talk to them and make absolutely sure that is where the problem is and I did not over look something simple, but for now my truck is starting and running like it should.
