Fuel pressure question

All....I have a 05 F350 6.0 w/87K on it. I am still under warranty but wanted to know if the fuel pump is covered? I had my truck in and they replaced the FICM due to my complaint of low power when cold. That did not do the trick and they wanted to test the fuel pressue. I figured if I am going to get banged for the test, I would do it myself. Warranty or no warranty.....is my question. If no warranty, what is my best options. I did manage to borrow a Actron fuel pressure test kit, but dont know if it will work on a diesel. I dont want to f the guage up so I figured I would ask. Any suggestions would be a geat help.

Thanks guys!

I don't know about the kit that you have but the 6.0 should have a min. fuel press. of 45 psi at WOT driving under load, not sitting in the drive way in neutral. It is usually monitor at the engine fuel filter housing.

the frame mount pump would be covered so long as it was not damaged by bad fuel
