I think that late model King Ranch F-150's use floor shifters.

If so, you might be able to adapt one of these into the floor of your SuperDuty.

I don't think you're going to find a pre-made, aftermarket "kit" to install, but you may be able to do it with OEM Ford parts!

I don't want to convert to a std trans , I want to change the column mted. auto trans shifter to a floor mounted auto trans shifter. I have found quite a few on line but none for the 4R100 Ford trans.

I understood you completely.

Did you investigate about using a shifter from an AUTOMATIC F-150 King Ranch?

Its not only the king ranch models that have the floor mounted shifter. Lariat and possibly some other trim levels as well have a floor mounted shifter. Its all part of the center console however I'm not sure if the parts will work separately and not look horrible. I'm not familiar enough with that transmission, is it shifted electronically or is there a cable and/or linkage running from the shifter down to the trans?

I have considered this for my F-250, does the F-150 floor shifter have the tow/haul button or will that need to be added?

it will proably have to be added. if there is a conversion kit out there im all in, wanna put one in my f350. i bet it feels awesome shifting. it looks cool too, kinda old school. let me know if anyone finds anything! my uncle has a 95 ford f150 with a stick 4x4 shifter and its awsome. imagine the fun with auto trans.

If your transmission is cable or linkage operated it can probably be done if its electronic that complicates things. I'm fairly certain that it has a mechanical linkage and can be made to work. Finding a shifter is another story if I get some time ill ask my guy at B&M he talked me into and through a floor shift conversion in my 88 cougar.

Yes, the O/P's truck has a 4R100, which has a mechanical sheathed cable input from the shift lever.

With out looking ,I assume the trans is operated with linkage from the steering column and the "OD" off button, at the end of the lever is electric/ electronic so if a floor mted kit is available, the column shift lever could be left in the park position( not to cool) or the button removed and placed elseware allowing removal of the lever---- this is really getting complicated but as dtingle89 says looks "kinda old school" and thays just what i am.

You might be able to modify the B&M Truck Megashifter to work as it is cable operated and can accommodate a four speed trans.

Truck Megashifter

And here's one from Art Carr that says it works with the 4R100, although a gate shifter probably isn't exactly what you want, you could maybe modify it to work too.

Art Carr Performance Products: Product Details - E40D/4R100 GATE SHIFTER (STOCK PATTERN)

you can swap a manual steering column of a six speed to replace the column shifter automatic and rig up a neutral safety switch... good luck
