Just wonderin if I'm the only hunter here?

I got a lil 6 pointer on opening day but havent gotten anything since. I've been out a few more times. Yesterday mornin I had a shot at another 6 pointer but I didnt take it, I'm holdin out for the monster trophy buck I'm going to see this eavnin

 

I have tried. Havn't shot anything but the ground.

 

I done that too

Well, my monster buck didnt show himself this eavnin Oh well, there's always next weekend!

I don't get to hunt much up here in colorado because school keeps me pretty busy. Its a shame cause from my dorm window and can see herds of 20 or so large elk just grazing away. But a friend of mine down in Fredricksburg wants me to come out there over Thanksgiving or Christmas break to do some huntin with him. Haven't decided whether I want to do that or stay around Beaumont and do some duck hunting.

 

When you come down, go to Fredrickburg. That's only about a 30 min drive from my place. Besides, deer hunting is funner! It's better to bring home a buck than a duck It feeds more folks too

 

Got mine finally. Three pointer but he will do fine

 

I've seen some helluva tracks, but no bucks yet. I hunt up around Gonzales in thick oak brush. Good deer, just hard to find. Heard some hogs sqealin' too, but they never showed. Maybe next time.

 

Hey, I got a friend in Gonzales. Anyway, I called in sick today. The doc recomended spending a day in the deer stand ......so that's just what I did

I saw a few nice bucks, but didnt have a shot. I saw a doe that I was bout to tag till I saw a lil fawn walk up to her. I couldnt shoot a momma, well, not infront of her kit anyway. Even hunters gotta have a conscious.

 

Well it's good to know that there's a man out there some where with a conscience about breaking something's heart. (tries to look innocent so the men don't ignore me forever......)

Oh yeah, a day in the deer stand will cure just about anything. (Unless its 32 degrees outside, luckily it isnt yet) I'm stuck up here now in college station, but id give anything to get outa class and into the stand. Maybe I'll get to go a lot more over Thanksgiving break. btw dieself350, we hunt between shiner and gonzales, i think the community is called Dilworth(sp?), but i live in victoria.

Everyone would miss the first 2 hours of class come November. Then came turkey season and well, it became tought just making the teachers show up for work much less the students...
