It`s like buying next to an airport.A year goes by and they start up with the lawsuits, campaigns against etc.
Now I`m sure when they bought that house there were no planes in sight
Idiots just realizing their own stupidity
I'm guessing that people who can afford to live on the Boston Waterfront don't work at night. These properties start at $900,000 and go upwards of $3,000,000.
In my humble opinion...blast away Constitution...the protestors are asses!!!
I remember a time in my youth when I was assigned to a armor unit in Germany. It was company B, 4/73 Armor at the Grafenwohr training area. While supporting the training as medical coverage I laid down in the ambulance and fell asleep. This was while the M-60 tanks were on the firing range firing their main guns. A person can sleep through anything.
It kills me that people come in and build somewhere near an existing business (or Naval vessel) that was there long before someone said "Hey, I can make a bunch of money throwing up houses/condos here." Then the tenants wanna complain about the smell/noise/pollution/etc... That's why you're supposed to research the area you want to move into before you buy it. So you know what kinda of environmental "stuff" exists. The sad part is sometimes they win.
The one that kills me is how, at least in my state of Georgia, they are spending millions upon millions of dollars to put up noise barriers to protect new subdivisions from highway noise. Hey, nobody told you to build there or to buy there. I can kinda see it for the older neighborhoods that never anticipated the interstate passing overhead/right by their house. But if people would just do due diligence in researching things, it would save time and money.
How about the people who build their houses next to a airport thats been there since the 1930s, and complain about "aircraft noise"?........Here we have newly moved in out of staters circulating a petition to have a raceway thats been there since the 1950s shut down and removed because they don't like the "noise" during the summer.........Its all about ME!!!.... If you move in next to a popular landmark, GET USED TO IT!
I live close to a hospital and ambulances and helicopters are going over there all the time.. After a while you don't even notice them..
These people have nothing better to do than complain so they make it bother them..
Another story of something that happened near me..
This farm that has been operating for about 100 years, was being pressured by new neighbors who bought expensive homes near it.. They liked the nice quiet area, but didn't like the smell..
Hello McFly!! Farms have animals and they create manure..
The family that runs the farm have been through plenty of aggrivation and made many concetions. But these people won't be happy until they close down the farm..
