1979 F250 wheelbase?
I have a single cab 79 F250 ranger 4x4, and can't find any info on my wheelbase? Anyone know it off the top of their head, or where online I can find it?
Also, exactly what 5speed transmission can swap onto my 400? I don't know what era of 5 speeds match up.

Only one wheelbase it can be provided it is a regular cab 4x4 as stated. There were no shortbeds made in a 3/4 ton 4wd option.
If you have a 166 you must have a 2wd crewcab. Does your jamb sticker say 166? My book shows it at 167.
