My 66 Flairside that is not a Custom Cab has the rubber floor mat, and it's torn up. I'm about to order a new one, but I noticed that I don't have the trim pieces that hold the edges down by the doors. Did Ford install the mat originally without the trim like that? I don't see any screw holes where they should be. Again, it's a stripped model not a Custom Cab. How did they come stock?
Thanks in advance.
Looking at the illustration I only see a basic # of 13209 left for the metal strip on page 15 of the interior trim section, (without console). It doesn't tell me if that is for carpets only. Also do you have a 3 speed or 4 speed, 4x4 or 4x2? Each one has a different floor mat #. See below...
Automatic/3 speed
C5TZ 8113010-ATAB Black
C5TZ 8113010-AUAC Blue
C5TZ 8113010-AUAB Red
4 speed
C5TZ 8113010-AZAB Black (Green Sales has 1)
C5TZ 8113010-BAAD Green
C5TZ 8113010-BAAB Red
4x4 All transmissions
C6TZ 8113010-BH1A Black
Door Scuff Plates for the 81B trim code is...
C5TZ 8113208-B Right Hand
C5TZ 8113209-B Left Hand

Door Scuff Plates for the 81B Conventional Cab Body Style = Custom Cab's & Ranger's are...
C5TZ8113208B .. Right Hand / Obsolete
C5TZ8113209B .. Left Hand / Obsolete

You could even torture yourself even more, cuz I have FIVE Basset Hounds. No one in their right mind wants/needs any!
No scuff plates were used on 81A's = Standard Cabs.
Only the 1965/66 F100/250 2WD Custom Cabs came with the Blue, Red, Green (and Tan) floor mats, which have black flecks in them.
All Standard Cabs, 4WD's have a black rubber mat. 1965/66 F100/250 Rangers had carpeting (and buckets seats, center console), were not available with 4WD.

Rubber floor mats were rolled up tightly, then placed in a box. It doesn't take too many years for age cracks to develop.
I've taken new floor mats of this vintage oughtta the box. Once they are unrolled, they are hard as a rock, and usually fall to PIECES!
Before buying any...especially on fleabay, have the seller unroll the mat...then send you a few pictures of it.
I just got my second floor mat from ACC ( Auto Custom Carpeting) and IT doesn't fit. The first mat was moulded for a 1978- luckily I have one and it was perfect. The second - I don't know what it fits- but the footwells are much deeper than my 66 4X4 .
Bill- is there anything unusual about a 1966 F250 4x4 81A cab? Is it possibly, not a 66 cab? like the fleetside beds . I have a parts truck that is a 66 Custom Cab F150 that is totally different.
I'm going nuts trying to get a vinyl mat that fits.
