Additional Backup Lights question

Additional Backup Lights question

I am installing (attempting to at least) additional backup lights on my 2008 F350 super duty. I read the huge thread that was posted here, which has been most helpful.

In one of the posts in that thread, someone had said you could get access to the cab to install the wiring into the upfitter switches through the firewall. They said that there are red, white, blue, & black pass through wires on drivers side. I have not been able to find them on my truck.

Anyone know if the 2008's had them? and if so, where do i find them

I have some wires coming through the firewall right up by the brake booster. Mine are just hanging there with what seems to be some type of black wax coating over them, so the wire is not exposed. I assume these are for the switches, never checked - but they are pretty visible if you stand by the driver's side front tire and look at the brake booster.

Thanks for the quick response.

I believe the upfitter switch wires are inside the cab. I was looking for the 'pass through' wires to run the additional backup light wires through into the cab.

Apparently these are already grommeted openings that allow you to run other wires from the engine compartment through them and into the cab. Once in the cab I think I know where to hook them up.

Anyone know how where these so called pass through wires would be located?
