backup lights...

anyone know where i can find the post on the tranny that my back up light wire connects to? i have a '79 f-250 with the t18 4 speed. i don't see anyplace for the harness to connect to on the gearbox itself...maybe a remote switch somewhere? haven't been able to find the wire on the schematic and was hoping someone had run into this problem before. these backup lights haven't worked since day one (two years ago) but i want them to start! thanks.

On my 77 with shifter on the column the switch was at the bottom of the column under the hood.

backup lights...

I just followed the wires on mine and it ended up at the top of the tranny. If you have the in the cab removeable inspection plate, you should see a small screw in type switch near the top.
