Will this Work
#2
1983 F-350's didn't come from Ford with a Dana 60 solid axle.
It will probably bolt up but sometimes when people do the swap they cheap out and use an older, weaker axle from the 70's. Be careful you aren't buying one of those, they are not as strong and not worth as much.
If it's from a 1986 to 1997 truck then everything, included steering, should all bolt up.

Another "Wll it work"...
I have another "Will it work" question: 1978-79 Dana 44 F250 knuckles, hubs, spindles, etc. onto a 1995 F150 TTB? Or, even though the axles were not reverse cut, would the above noted components from an earlier (1976-77.5) F250 Dana 44 also work? I am also seeking to keep the bigger brakes with their dual piston calipers in use; which is part of why I have not yet gone ahead with the swap using parts from the 1970s GM K20 Dana 44 since they used single pistion calipers with a smaller contact area that could also create some problems since I am using the bigger F250/350 master cylinder.

More questions...
Is there anyone out there who has tried to fit Dana 44HD TTB (light duty F250) onto F150 Dana 44 TTB axles? Will this work? Thank you to anyone who can offer a definitive "Yes, I have tried it and they fit ." Or a "Yes, I have tried it and it will not work as a direct fit." Or a "Yes, I have tried it and I also had to do thus-and-such fabrication to make it work."
