tail gate part

hello,

I have been looking for the piece that connects the "opening rod" to the handle of the tail gate. I have looked around and found nothing.

Thanks for the help,

Brian

I found them at the ford dealership. But I think you can find an assortment pack at Kragen Auto Parts, that would probably have one that would match.

What city/town do you live in? I'll tell you the closest dealer that has some.

This clip is 97 cents...each

There's no listing for CO Ford Dealersfor this part.

But that doesn't mean the local dealer doesn't have any. This same clip is also used on lock cylinders of myriad passenger cars thru at least 1999.

Call, give them the part number (E6AZ5421952A).

You could get them from Y2KFORDPARTS.COM (Millennium Ford in Seattle WA).

The price would be 67 cents each, but the shipping will prolly be 10 bucks.

Normally I could give you the sources, but this is a very common part stocked by darn near every dealer in the US/Canada.

The Ford parts locator system I'm using lists about 300 CA, OR, WA dealers, but that's it.

If you are talking about the little plastic clip, just go to the salvage yard and greab a few. Mine came off of a chebby tailgate, it was in perfect shape.

or better yet - take one of the broken ones with you to your local autoparts store and look in the "help" section - you know, the one with all the generic replacement parts/pieces.

They usually have METAL ones there. I'd rather have those than more plastic ones
