ya you gotta make sure that its compressing....if my theorys right it goes like this correct me if im wrong.....downstroke to suck in fuel, upstroke for combustion, downstoke on that combustion and another upstroke to push out spent exhaust....so even though u might be feeling it blow your finger out or pushing the paper out it may be on its exhaust stroke pushing burnt exhaust out.....you need it to be on its combustion stroke i believe...the one after its already sucked in fuel....so if your still not starting bring the piston back up to it stops pushing check it on your balancer and adjust it accordingly....then take your cap off and see where your dizzy is pointing if its forward then pull it out and face it to number 1 and see what that does if its pointing to the back then turn the crank untill the piston goes down and then comes back up again....now if its forward face it to the back.....im not the greatest at explaining things but i believe that what it is.....like Sparky said it happens....i did it when first putting my motor back together.....after bringing it back up to tdc and pulling the cap i realized my mistake....after that it fired right up

You're taking it to a dealer? Why don't you just light a pile of money on fire?

Theres 3 things a car needs to run, fuel, compression, spark....all at the right time....you say you have fuel and spark.....if you have compression whats left?? Timing

Or, you say you smell fuel when cranking the engine? You sure there isnt an injector stuck open flooding it?
