NP542?????
I have located an NP542 trying to figure out if its over drive or what? From an email is the info I have on it does this help decode?
Hello I'm not real sure here is what the shift patten is 1 2 4R 3 5 it does have a pto access cover and the plate on the side of it reads serial # 11 12 75 assem #dita7004dafdt ratio# 542 . I am located in florida. The transmission has no problems at all the truck fell apart around it and the motor it came out of a 1976 ford f700. Thanks Jason I can send pics if needed.

I have a neighbor that has a '76 Dodge 600 truck with a np542. It has an odd shift pattern, its been a few years since i've been in the truck. Not sure about the overdrive. from what i've read, some of the 542's may of had overdrive.
