I cut the little slope back that holds the switch forward on my truck, but do not know what wires to connect. Everything says brown and White/Black, but I do not have those. It is a 99 Expedition, I just need to know which wires to splice together.
Is one plug a smal rectangle and the other bigger square liek plug? My 2000 expy had 2 plugs also, and I used a test light to find what wires went to what. Got a picture of your plugs?? If they are like mine I can send you a picture of the wires I modified..
My 01 had 2 plugs too.. If you look on the larger of the 2 plugs, you'll see numbers identifying each wire. I jumpered #2 (white with black stripe) and #12 (dark brown - looks black) together and my fog lights work on headlights, parking and automatic
Those are the 2(3) plugs I have. I said 2 because the 2 large ones control my lights, it seems like the smaller one all the way on the right is for my adjustable pedals(not installed in the vehicle). I have tried putting a wire between all the different receptacles on the plugs, but it only turns on the parking lights when I do a certain combination and the dinger to let you know they are on with a different combo. I can't find a guide how to do it for the 1999, and I went to my ford dealer and they said they can't talk to me about it...
If anyone has a wiring diagram, that may help out. Also, the wires on these plugs are not numbered, but the colors go as follows
Left Plug
Top(Left to Right)
Blue w/ White stripe
White w/ Red stripe
Bottom(Left to right)
Brown
2 Peach w/ White stripe(Both wires go to the same port on the plug)
Orange w/ White stripe
Right Plug
Top
Black
Yellow
Blue w/ Black stripe
Bottom
Blue w/ Orange stripe
Red w/ Yellow stripe
Blue w/ Red stripe
