'05 Conversion

I wanted to do the '05 conversion with the headlights and grill, but I have a ranch hand front bumper. Anyone done this before? I'm wondering if the amount you cut is the same, since there is the small gap in between my grill and bumper.

Thanks,

I would think you should be able to. The headlights should be no problem because they are a direct replacement, with a little cutting to the header panel. You may have to cut down the grille like you would if you were going to run the 05+ grille with the 99-04 bumper. That would depend on how much space is between your ranch hand bumper and your existing grille.

Oh yeah, you are fine Mike. I was picturing something different. The 05's are direct replacements for size so you shouldn't have any issues.

Is there a gap like that with the oem bumper and would I have to trim less of the grill?

It appears you have plenty of room for an '05 grille without cutting as long as it clears the vetical diamond plate at the back off the bumper. Your only concern will be securing the bottom of the grille. The top of the '05 grille matches up perfectly with the mounting points of your stock grille.

Here is a LINK to cutting the grille to fit with stock pre-'05 bumper.
It will give you an idea of how much room you need.
