My 05 sat for a few days, cooler weather around the freezing mark and on its 1st 1-2 shift it kind of flared up. On its second 1-2 shift it just slipped then hit hard. It did this a few times then once warmed up it was fine. I drove the snot out of it and it shifted flawlessly. Fluid level is good and doesn't seem to be burnt. Any ideas?
Thanks
How long has it been since the trans was serviced? How many miles on the truck? Were you driving it hard? Also, does it have Mercon SP in it, or something else?

130,000 miles. I wasn't driving it hard when cold but was when it was hot (shifted fine hot). Don't know about the service and fluids. Could it be just a flyuid issue?
If you don't know about the service on the truck you have to treat it as if it needs it asap. Coolant, transmission/external filter, transfer case, both rears, fuel filters.

Good advice there - rep points sent to you.
Yes, it could be just a fluid issue. It might be just too low, or too high fluid level. If you don't know about the service/fluids, I'm sure you're not an original owner. Sometimes - people just stop by quick lube places to change the fluids in they're vehicles. It does work just fine on 99% of the vehicles, but on the 6.0 with the torqueshift tranny it requires a little extra knowledge, and I'm afraid that in most cases those places doesn't have that.
That extra knowledge is : MERCON SP fluid ONLY in the torqueshift tranny!!!
