I've read a couple of older threads about the hanger bearings going bad on 2006 F150's with 4x4, SC, 8' bed, 163" WB.
Well now mine's shot. The truck's warranty expired about 3 months ago and Ford doesn't sell a replacement bearing. You have to buy the entire driveshaft for $1400.
I've talked to a couple of driveline shops that deal with heavy trucks and they said that they think they can fix it. I'll have to pull out the driveshaft and bring it to them.
I was just curious if anybody else has found a better solution yet for this problem.
