I have an 06 F150 with 31K miles, with the 5.4 V8, and recently experienced an engine misfire condition, caused by two stuck open fuel injectors. The dealer fixed everything back, but, said its not covered like the 05's, so I had to pay.
Anybody have any background as why the 06 5.4 with the same problem as the 05's, is not covered? Seems to me like Ford still has a problem with stuck fuel injectors on the 06.

The problem with the injectors was determined to be on '05-'06, but only on truck from specific factories, mine for example, the Kentucky factory, falls under the category of the covered injectors. (which also let me get free new catalytic converters )
I wrote to Ford Customer Relations to see if they could do a careful review of the parts, methods, and fuel injector design, used to construct my specific engine. Maybe they can do something for me.
Anyway, the dealer recommended keeping the repair receipts, in case Ford decides to extend the coverage at a later date.
Ok So I have a 2006 5.4 ...I had issue yesterday with what ended up being #7 fuel injector suck open. The dealer ship fixed it but told me that they can not get the computer to communicate and sync. They told me that it wouldnt effect the truck nor damage anything and truck is currently running great. My question is what would cause it to not communicate and could it be related to a " check charging system" message i get once in a great while????? Thanks for any help you can give!!
