Why does my truck hate me?????

Well today I had to go pull my friends car out of a tree after he totaled it. ( Look for a new thread on that coming after this) I had to go threw a mud pit that was twice as high with mud then it was last time. I managed tlo kill a auto 2 times in the mud I was spinning the tires at about 45-60 then let off and the T/C stayed locked and killed it. So The O/D light was flashing and I am guessing that is because of the stalling. So here are all the codes I pulled off of it tonight,
P0478
P0670
P0683
P0720
P0722
And my favorite P1211...
What do all these codes mean. The truck seems to run fine so not sure whats up just the Check engine was on
Nick

I'd clear the codes and see if any come back. I'd bet they came up because the truck stalled and died.

You've got it all wrong Nick. Your truck doesn't hate you, the mud hates your truck.

Like Huck said, clear the codes and see what comes back.

Here's a DTC list for ya.

Nick, Come up to the farm and I will give you pointers in the art of "point and shoot". I am sure with a lift and some good mud tires you could get stuck a lot farther from the road.

Just an off-hand guess:

If I recall, there are three "speed sensors" on our trucks that will set a code. The VSS is the most common failure, and it's the one that the speedometer is based upon.

The other two are shaft speed sensors that monitor things internal to the transmission. They're located on the top of the 4R100. The code you're seeing is likely indicating a failure of the rear one of those. Hopefully, the connector to it is only full of mud or water.

As I said, it's only a guess, and I did no in-depth research to arrive at this.

The P0670 and P0683 are related to the GPCM. If after you clear the codes, those two come back, its time for a new GPCM. Its not a big deal until it starts getting cold. I am a bit sick of the SES light being on so I will probably replace mine soon.
