while part of your post may be correct, look at the time it was built.
How many 4-linked truck were built then?
Thats like calling the original big foot a slapped together work of crap.
Think before you post, it might get you somewhere in life.
I know when it was built, and for the time, the triple roll bar with 30 lights and 500 shocks were the in thing. Still doesn't make it the best thing out there. Unless you are looking at it for nestalgia reasons, by todays standards in what is right and what works best, it is outdated and not that bad ***. If you didn't know anything about the truck and saw it posted on ebay, tell me you wouldn't think "what a pice of cobbled togher piece of crap."
Found another vid for you. Here's that blue 78 250 named Shear Force that my buddy Rob Vance owns on a set of 44 cut boggers in the rear and 39.5 TSL's up front. He had a fuel pump issue on this run, but it was fun to watch:
I respect people that post there own trucks running. The rest are wanna be's that spend 99% of there time picking on other people's trucks that dont have clue what time it is. Kjett, I'll see you at Saluda. I'm out.

THanks. I'll be in my ranger next year. Those were old vids of the 150 playing. Considering I have 200k miles on the stock bottom end (as in block and roatating assembly), it does ok. My fast time is 200' in 7 seconds flat.
Dave,
What's your truck got going for it again? Oh, yeah, nothing.......
OK so its a cheap build.... Whats your point?
I dont know the truck all that well, just the fact its dropped hangers. I'm sure it has motor work, upgraded axles, etc...
There is NO WAY stock axles would hold up to the way hes driving in that vid.
I'll ask again since you didn't answer my question. WHAT IS YOUR POINT?????????
WTF is wrong with lowered hangers?
What is wrong with leaf springs?
Whats wrong with built axles?
Whats wrong with a 513?
AND....what is wrong with Truckin? The man just got back on here and you gotta start chit with him already? Grow up man, quit your internet argueing.....

Thats a sweet truck as well!! What happened in that run? Sounded great off the line and then stuttered there abit. What sorta specs is he runnin?

He was having fuel pump issues if I remember right. Thy bypass on the BG400 pump was not working right causing a loss of fuel pressure and starving the motor out. He's the one I was telling you about with the Kaase built 545 that he also hits with 3 stages of nos (150/250/150). That run was just motor. I compete with him in the same class. My saving grace is the 3018lb weight over his 6000lb + weight. After he watched my ranger this past year, he's talking about putting a lightweight ranger body on like me. If he does that and gets down close to my weight, I'm done! Well, we'll have to see next year when I pull out the new motor!

The point was that by todays standards, that truck is not what is normally considered bad ***. Myron's 250 has the same height, but all of the suspension and driveline parts were assembled with a modern, more sound design. The days of welding box tube to the frame and lowering the stock components is gone and is now considered very unsafe, especially on the street! I don't think anything was done to the stock axles besides a gear swap, big deal, it's done every day. The 513 took a factory block, which is usually only good to .060 at the most to be reliable, and punched it to .080, which makes for some paper thin cylinder walls on a factory block. An A460 block would have made a better choice. If I heard right, he is going to the A460 block and is looking ar somewhere around a 557ci. That is bad ***! Then after the suspension parts get reworked, it will be a sound truck. But until then, it's still kinda eh. Tell me, if you knew nothing about that truck or who owned it and it came up on ebay that most of you would trash how it was put together.
I HAD no problem with Dan. He lit into me for no reason, dragging the past of another forum here back into the open. He's back, fine. Don't say I'm starting chit and need to grow up without going back and re-reading where the chit started!
As I said earlier, I was done. But since you want to run your trap and get involved, so be it. If you want to continue this discussion, as I said before, keep it off the board, send a pm!
I have my 2 cents to put into this pissing contest but right now I have to go to bed. It would be much appreciated if ya all would try to behave for a bit.
Seths truck specs: 73 f-250 35spln Superior/CTM D60/D70u, twinsticked 205, hydro-assist, f&r lockers, 44" Boggers, rear-mount rad. Im not sure the c.i. on the new motor. I believe its around 572 and hes running a 250 hp shot IIRC.
The suspension was not just lowered. The rear has i believe 6" drop brackets and a shackle flip. Front is the drop brackets with an underhung shackle.
By far the drop brackets are alot safer than saay banana leafs, body lift, or lift blocks to achieve the same lift. By all means its not ground breaking tech but its lasted all these years so i believe that says something. I see alot of guys on Pirate using drop brakcets. If it had been a ****ty plan then you wouldnt see it used so widely on there.
