Paint job estimates...

Since you guys are in Ontario, what do you think it would cost to get a paint job done on a 1972 F350 Crew cab (ballpark?)?

Also, I need a bed for the same truck, where is the best place to get one?

thanks

matt

I agree - you are probably looking at atleast $3,000. My advice - get three estimates and go with who you trust. Try to find some one who has knowledge of old cars and trucks - they'll treat your truck with more respect.
Bed wise, it depends on how bad - you can order replacement patches from your local autoparts store. You might also want to look in the motorhaven.autoanything.com store as it is affiliated with this site. You can also look for a complete box from an auto wrecker's or southern truck parts dealer.

Keep it Rubber Side Down!

3,000 even if I do all of the prep work? All they would have to do is paint, I have a friend who was a painter for 28 years I am going to get to help me do the prep work (hopefully I can talk him into painting it).

well alot less if you do the prep work... but make it good i know ppl who did there own and went to "Macco" (sp) they asked him if it was ready to paint he said yes they did a quick walk around sanded it wiped it and painted it looked like crap not cuz of the painter work jsut from not the right prep work done.... but sounds like you got his experience behind it so around $1000.... im goona get mine estimated and give you a price see if theres any real difference only mine would be on a 1999 F150
